Photo of the Day --March 30, 2010 - Peach Blossoms

I was photographing the Bartlett Pears in bloom at the Archdale Public Library (one of my favoritest places) and noticed this puddle of water in the parking lot with upside-down blossoms floating along like polka dots. It was much more inter sting than the other photos I had already taken.

Be Patient With Me...

I know, I know....I'm way behind on posting my Photos of the Day. But I promise, I've been taking them. Really. Scouts honor.

I'll try to do better about sharing, and over the next few days I hope to get two or three posted every day until I'm all caught up. I'll go ahead and warn you, for a little while it's gonna be a flower fest. Spring is glorious and it seems like there are new blooms somewhere every day, and they all beg me to photograph them. I'm happy to oblige, because I love beauty in all it's many intricate forms.

February 16, 2010 - Photo of the Day - Spring IS coming!

I was just about to give up hope of Spring returning to my world. Seems like I've been cold for years. Then I spotted these daffodil sprouts, and my heart rejoiced! I always think of daffodils as the most cheerful flower I've ever seen, and I'm fascinated by the shape and intricate construction of them. Let the warming trend commence!
