Gone Fishin'

I'm having so much fun photographing our "Gone Fishin'" Limited Edition event! I had a little guy this morning who just kept me laughing, I'd take a couple of photos, and then he would hop off to another spot. I finally decided he was a rabbit, but a sweet one.
If you missed out on this weeks sessions, we have some times open for next Thursday as early as 8:00AM or as late as 7:30PM. You don't want to miss this!

Celebrate with me...

I just competed the last of the requirements to earn my Photographic Craftsman degree from the Professional Photographers of America. Special thanks to the folks at the Professional Imaging Group of Eastern North Carolina who had me speak for them in New Bern a couple of weeks ago, earning me the final "merit" in my journey. Woo-hoo!

I'll officially gain my new title and more alphabet soup to go behind my name next Spring. If you're having trouble knowing what title to use for me, I'll happily answer to either "Majesty" or "Hey You!"

He's so sweeeet!

Nothing like a newborn baby to make you understand just how common miracles are. Little Gavin was so much fun to photograph, and this was hands down (some pun intended) my favorite image from the session. His mommy and daddy supplied the antique Coke box, and it was the perfect prop.

In case you don't already know, it does take a little fairy dust to get a pixie sized sleepy-head in this position for a photo. But not much. ;-)

February 14, 2010 - Photo of the Day - Showin' Off

This beautiful goose looks like he's showin' off for the ladies on Valentine's Day, or maybe crooning out a love song. I can't imagine what it would feel like to go swimming on a day this cold, so I was impressed already.

February 11, 2010 - Photo of the Day - Big Green Machine

Sometimes you take a wrong turn and end up somewhere better than where you were going in the first place. That's sorta what happened today. I had seen a row of hayrolls over the weekend, and went to photograph them today when I found a big green machine in the field. Love the rust, and the cheerful color. This shot was just much cooler than the hay. Hope you enjoy!

January 24, 2010 Photo of the Day - Peppers

I was zippin' through the produce section at Wal-Mart, and these colorful peppers just looked so pretty. (I don't like the flavor of peppers, but I sure like the way they look.) I didn't have a "real" camera with me, so this was taken with my cell phone, and then I played with it in Photoshop to give it some artistic flair.

Special Visit from Ronald

Guess WHAT! We just had a surprise, a personal visit from a famous celebrity. He's starred in tons of commercials for an international company, is the second most recognized entity on the planet (right behind Santa) and has hair the same color as my lobby walls! It's Ronald McDonald. For real, no joke!

We couldn't resist the photo op....so here's a quick shot of me and Vanessa (my studio manager) with Ronald. Say CHEESEburger!
